La Garenne - 3 Bedrooms - Sleeps up to 8

Part of the original farmhouse and facing south, this property benefits from a gated and fenced, shady terrace and large internal living area.  The airy sitting room with plenty of sofas allows you to unwind out of the heat and enjoy the character of these 300 year old farm buildings.  During the renovation of this gîte, a family of rabbits was found living under the floor which in turn lends itself to the name La Garenne, meaning warren.

The terrace leads directly onto the main pool area which has fantastic, panoramic views across the valley to the south side of the Le Roudier estate.  This provides an ideal setting in which to relax after a hard day around the pool and take in the sights and sounds of this beautiful Perigordian landscape.  For wildlife enthusiasts, this area can really excite, with wild boar, various deer species and an abundance of bird life.  The short toed snake eagle is a specialty of the region and barn owls are regular visitors.  As you sit back and enjoy this rural retreat, the buzzards circle high above, catching the evening thermals and are silhouetted on the deep blue Aquitaine sky.
